Krysia Solheim is the owner and founder of Viosimo. She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Environmental Science from the University of Arizona with minors in Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese. She has a Masters in Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. Born in Arizona, Krysia grew up in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Thailand, Cyprus, Venezuela, and Qatar before returning to Arizona for her undergraduate degree. She speaks English, Spanish, and Greek fluently and intermediate Chinese and Arabic, and has dual American and Greek citizenship.
Krysia’s passion for environmental work comes from a deep love for wild places and the belief that human health is intricately tied to ecosystem health. Her work in the environmental field began in middle school trying to convince her classmates to turn off the tap water. Since then, she has focused on bringing behavioral awareness to individuals and cities. Her work in urban sustainability is based in helping cities create systems that enable their communities to integrate sustainability into their every day lives. She believes in the power of bikes, laughter, communities, health, competition, trees, and challenges.
